Matthew Chapter 7 Mission
Oct 23, 2025
I love how amazing God is! How he can take something that the enemy tried to use against you and the Lord takes that brick and uses it to build you! So when I went into the word this morning for guidance and understanding He took me to Matthew 7:12 because I asked for guidance on scripture that speaks about how to treat others right. When I began to revisit the whole chapter (I have always loved the book of Matthew I have read it MANY times in my life). But this time when I sat with all of Chapter 7 from the first word to the last I was like THIS IS IT!! This is my mission Matthew Chapter 7
1. I will not judge others.
I will extend grace and humility, remembering that the same measure I use will be measured back to me.
I will check my own heart before pointing out another’s faults, removing the log from my own eye before helping remove the speck from someone else’s.
2. I will use wisdom and discernment.
I will not cast what is holy before those who will not value it. I will seek God for understanding of when to speak, when to act, and when to simply pray and trust Him.
3. I will live a life of asking, seeking, and knocking.
I will pursue God with persistence, asking for His wisdom, seeking His presence, and knocking until doors open according to His will.
For I know that my Father gives good gifts to those who ask Him.
4. I will treat others the way I want to be treated.
This is the heart of the law and the prophets, to love others as I love myself.
In every conversation, decision, and partnership, I will reflect the love and integrity of Christ.
5. I will walk the narrow road.
I understand that the path to life is not always popular or easy, but it leads to eternal reward.
I will choose the narrow gate, the way of truth, humility, obedience, and righteousness, even when the world chooses the wide road of comfort and compromise.
6. I will discern true voices.
I will watch out for false prophets and deceitful influences that appear good but bear no fruit of the Spirit.
I will judge by fruit, by actions not appearances, seeking evidence of God’s character in myself and in others.
7. I will bear good fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
I will remain rooted in Christ so that my life produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.
8. I will do the will of my Father.
It is not enough to say Lord, Lord. I will live it.
I will obey His Word, seek His guidance, and align my work with His will.
I want my faith to be more than words. I want it to be a living testimony that glorifies God.
9. I will build my life on the Rock.
I will be like the wise builder who hears the Word and puts it into practice.
When the rain comes and the winds blow, I will stand firm because my foundation is Christ.
I will not build on sand, on feelings, fear, or fleeting approval, but on the unshakable truth of God’s Word.
10. I will stay in awe of His teaching.
Just as the crowds were astonished at Jesus’ authority, I will remain in awe of Him daily.
His Word will not just inform me, it will transform me.
Every decision, creative work, and conversation will reflect His authority at work in me.
